ELVIS has entered the building!
Gordon Hendricks is bringing his vocal tribute to The King to Rhyl on Friday, March 21.
Along with his band Red Alert, he recreates many of Elvis' greatest hits in a two hour show that is filling theatres the length and breadth of the country.
Gordon won ITV's Stars in Their Eyes Grand Final 2005 with a record number of votes and has three BBC1 national TV shows under his belt in 2007.
Gordon's performance on the show so impressed award winning song writer Geoff Morrow that he has signed him up to his Yellow Records label.
Morrow has written hit songs for Elvis, Barry Manilow, The Carpenters, Billy Fury and many more.
Morrow penned five songs for Elvis, four of which he recorded.
The fifth song, Where Would I Be, was written in 1977 but unfortunately Elvis died before he could record it. Morrow has now given the song to Gordon.
Gordon and his five-piece band will perform some of the King's finest works in a style so reminiscent you may wonder if Elvis himself is on stage.
Catch Gordon Hendricks Vocal Tribute to Elvis at the Pavilion Theatre, Rhyl.
Tickets, costing £14.50, are available from the Box Office by calling 01745 330000.
A TRIP back in time will be the treat for history lovers in a two-day Ruthin event next month.
Ruthin Medieval Festival will be staged between April 26 and 27 (10am-6pm).
Centered around Ruthin Castle, but adding other venues in the town, the festival will concentrate entirely on the medieval period.
As well as deliberately setting out to try and extend Ruthin's tourist season, these shows will be donating 10 per cent of the profits to local charities- and for 2008 the chosen beneficiary is the Hope House Children's Hospice.
