AN ANNUAL performance of Bach's St Matthew Passion will take place in Tremeirchion on Good Friday.
Set to be an magnificent production, the event will take place in the Corpus Christi Church on March 30. The Tremeirchion Bach Choir and Orchestra will be joined by soloists Eleanor Parsons, Benjamin Williamson, Ben Ridler, Oliver Sammons and Malcolm Williams.
Dominic Rose will be singing the role of Christus and Stephen Newlove, the role of the Evangelist. The performance will be conducted by Richard Adamson.
Parishioner Mair Dowell said: "The church in Tremeirchion brings to this great work the devotional atmosphere in which it was first performed in Leipzig on Good Friday 1727.
"A warm welcome is extended to everyone to come along and experience this very special and moving event. What a wonderful way to start the Easter weekend."
