WHEN Cash Converters sponsor a darts major, then Mark Webster reaches the final!
The Denbigh destroyer partnered Barrie Bates when Wales made it to the final match of the inaugural PDC World Cup back in 2010 and Webster was also a finalist in December's Players' Championship competition.
Both of these were backed by Cash Converters - and the same sponsors are lined up to support this weekend's World Cup of Darts, which will be staged at Hamburg's Alsterdorfer Stadthalle in Germany from February 3-5, featuring 24 two-man teams.
Televised live on Sky Sports HD, the event will feature a combination of both doubles and singles games throughout three days of play.
Fifth seeds Wales comprise Webster and Richie Burnett, and the pair will take on either Finland or Croatia in the second round over two sessions on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon.
The winners will tackle either Scotland, Spain or South Africa in Saturday evening's quarter-finals, while the semi-finals and final will be played on Sunday.
Looking ahead to the first major of the year, Webster said: "We are outsiders again, because Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis are in our half of the draw.
"But we have got a great chance if we can play as well as we can."
Webster has praised his playing partner Burnett, who knocked the Denbigh player out of this year's world championship with an epic 3-2 first round success.
"He is a great player and he is in good form," added Webster.
Top seeds England are represented by 15-time world champion Phil Taylor and current world champion Adrian Lewis, while Simon Whitlock and Paul Nicholson form the team for second seeds Australia.
The Netherlands (Raymond van Barneveld and Vincent van der Voort) and Scotland (Gary Anderson and Peter Wright) are seeded three and four respectively.
