THE Queen joined Prince William for a tour of RAF Valley.

The Royal visit on Friday saw the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh arrive at the base during windy conditions. The Queen had to hold her hat to stop it blowing off in the wind before joining her grandson for a tour of an RAF Sea King helicopter.

Prince William is currently serving as a pilot of Sea King helicopters, which are used for search and rescue missions.

The Prince also spoke of his forthcoming wedding to Kate Middleton on the April 29, admitting he was starting to get nervous about the big day.
