Just to update your details of road closures for the 10 mile race. Chris Yorke organiser of the road race has agreed to keep Trinity Crescent and Dale Roasd open to traffic to allow access to the West Shore Beach Cafe and Dale Road car park, by segmenting the road to allow runners and cars. thought it badly done, no signs where to turn down once you came to a closed road. It may be good for business but locals should have maps sent or available at at outlets to pick up as to the routes which can be used.

This race caused chaos with the traffic. We saw and overheard many motorists conversing with marshals complaining that they couldn't even get home with all these road closures. The race wasn't beneficial for local trade either, in fact it was detrimental as many shoppers stayed away from the town. But the biggest complaint is that the Council didn't follow the necessary legal procedure correctly and all these road closures were in fact illegal. All in all a complete and utter shambles!

The complaints from the locals is one reason why I moved away from Llandudno. The race did bring in business johnlang, we stayed in a hotel as did many others and we have stopped coming to Llandudno becuase of the parking problems. So if the race hadn't been on we would have gone somewhere else instead. Stop moaning, it was one morning and a really good one too!
