Conwy 201-4
Northop 202-8
Northop won by two wickets

CONWY suffered a cruel defeat in the final ball of the game at the weekend, going down by two wickets to promotion chasing Northop.

Rajjenu Britto racked up 57 runs to get the Musselmen off to a solid start, whilst Ed Favill added an unbeaten 60 as Conwy declared on 202 for eight in the 48th over.

A solid second wicket partnership pushed Northop past the century mark, with Daniel Davies and David Thornley claiming the key wickets.

A collapse saw just two more men reach double figures, but a leg bye in the final ball of the match saw Northop land the match, keeping them second and snatching the points away from Conwy.

Daniel Davies took three wickets for 36 from 13 overs, whilst Ioan Williams and Shaun Davies both took two.
