Denbigh Golf Club player hits hole in one

ARTHUR JONES is celebrating his fourth hole in one.

The Denbigh Golf Club member and county player achieved his latest ace using a seven iron at the 175 yards par three ninth hole at Denbigh to finish third in the Gents Medal Competition.

Jones has now recorded four holes in one during the 46 years he has been playing golf with two previous aces at Denbigh and Prestatyn.

Wilkinson aced the 15th before posting a 6 and 3 success against Jen Leech, and finished runner-up after losing 3 and 2 in the Ladies Coronation Cup against Julia Heritage.

Heritage also celebrated a 6 and 4 victory against Joan Royal in the Scratch Cup, while Pauline Baxendale and Ann Mark beat Megan Sutherland and Joyce Alsop 2 and 1 in the Knockout.
