PENMAENMAWR Phoenix reached the second round of the Lock Stock Van Hire Cup with a 6-4 aggregate victory over Amlwch Town.
With a 3-2 lead after the first leg, Peter Williams handed Pen the lead on nine minutes before second half strikes from Ryan Kilcourse sealed the win.
In the Welsh Alliance, Nathan Jones handed Llandudno Junction the lead in their game with Llanrug, but the Railwaymen collapsed to a 4-1 defeat.
Mochdre Sports were the big winners in the NWCFA Intermediate Cup, smashing Holyhead Hotspurs Reserves 7-0.
Shaun Heap bagged a hat-trick, whilst Aaron Boyle scored either side of half time. Dave Baker’s effort and an own goal sealed the big win.
Rhos United were less fortunate though, losing 3-1 in a fiesty affair with Holyhead Town, with Jake Parkes netting late on.
In the Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League, Betws yn Rhos continued their impressive start by stuffing a sorry Rhyl Hearts outfit 5-1.
The returning Ad Lavender netted twice, Jeff Cody fired in a sweet finish and Phil Holland continued his fine start to the season with another brace, including a sublime volley from 20 yards.
West Shore meanwhile lost 4-1 to Abergele Colts, with Stephen Penrose getting on the scoresheet.
