POLICE have launched a search for a teenager who vanished after a Christmas party.

Haydn Mark Evans, 18, from Mold, was last seen at the entrance of Carden Park Hotel, near Chester, at about 1am on Saturday where he had been celebrating with colleagues from Mold-based MPH Construction.

His family say he failed to get into a minibus at the end of the night and they have not heard from him since.

Cheshire Police say they are worried about Haydn given the freezing weather conditions over the weekend and are urging householders to check their outbuildings and sheds.

Stepsister Jade Conway, 26, from Ellesmere Port, told the Leader: “We are absolutely worried sick.

“It’s not like him at all not to get in touch. Haydn always comes home.
“We keep ringing his mobile but it is switched off.

“Hopefully he will walk through the door any minute now.”

Haydn lives in Maes y March with his 17-year-old brother Ben, father Graham and stepmother Sue.

Jade is making regular appeals for information on the social networking site Facebook.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “The weather has been extremely cold and police are concerned that Haydn, who is unfamiliar with the local area, may have become disorientated in the unfamiliar surroundings.

“Police are asking anyone who lives in the area to check any empty buildings on their land, including farm buildings, sheds or garages, in case Haydn has taken shelter from the cold weather.

“Police would like to hear from any dog walkers or anyone who went walking in the countryside around Carden Park Hotel to make contact if they saw someone fitting Haydn’s description.”

Police are also appealing to taxi drivers who may have taken a fare from Haydn or anyone travelling along the A41 Whitchurch Road or A534 Wrexham Road in the early hours of Saturday and who has information to call them immediately.

Haydn is approximately 5ft 9ins tall and of slim build with short brown hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a dark, long-sleeved shirt and trousers.

Haydn had no jacket or coat but he may have had some money and his mobile phone.

Anyone with information can call Cheshire Police on 101.
