Katie in 27th on her debut

RHYL runner Katie Parry finished 27th in the Lotto Cross Cup competition in Brussels at the weekend.

Katie, a former Prestatyn Running Club member, ran for Wales senior ladies for her local club Leeds City, finished in 23mins 44sec.

Prestatyn Running Club

Prestatyn Running Club’s two guaranteed places in next year’s London Marathon have been won by club chairman Arwel Jones and men’s captain Paul Brandrick, both of whom have run the event before.

The draw was made at the club’s pre-Christmas social, at which the prize for the best fancy-dress costume went to Mike Davies.

Volunteers are being sought to marshal at the North Wales Cross-Country championships at Rhug, Corwen, which the club is again hosting on January 28.

Abergele Harriers

Darren Blazier lined up with over 550 runners to take part in the Telford 10k on Sunday. Darren ran 36min 12sec for 62nd overall.
