A POLICE officer is sharing her daily routine with the public - on the internet.

Pc Kate Parker took part in a North Wales Police Twitter campaign which aims to give the public an insight into the daily business of a member of the force.

She tweeted on how she dealt with such matters as assaults, dealing with antisocial behaviour and refereeing parking disputes - as well as reminding the public to drink responsibly when driving.

The Twitter feed follows Pc Parker from briefings at the start of her shifts, and at each stage of the incidents she attends throughout the evening.

On December 28, she tweeted: "We are on our way to check on an elderly lady who has rung our control room", before following with "Elderly lady is fine. She was telling us how she remembers police officers wearing capes and just with a truncheon".

The following evening, she posted: "Blue light run to assist colleagues in ambulance service with unco-operative male. He is now co-operating and off to hospital", and later added: "Male under arrest became violent with officers. Has now been handcuffed and off to custody. Thanks to NWP dog handler for their help."

David Jones, MP for Clwyd West, tweeted "Was pleased to follow @NWPdayinthelife yesterday evening. Helpful to see what our emergency services have to put up with."
