POLICE staged a raid in Kinmel Bay last week in their hunt for a fugitive.

Officers from Cheshire police carried out an unsuccessful raid on Wednesday morning on the trail of Lee Ward, 30, wanted for questioning in connection with a disturbance at the Wagon & Horses pub in Blacon on Janury 15.

DCI Paul Beauchamp of Cheshire Constabulary said: “Although we do not believe that Ward poses a risk to the public as a whole, he potentially has access to firearms and is considered to be a violent individual. We advise the public not to approach Ward if sighted and report any information or sightings to Cheshire Police.”

Ward’s brother, Scott Ward, 23 of Wordsworth Crescent in Blacon, was charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, and affray on Friday.

He was refused bail and appeared before Magistrates in Chester on Saturday.
