A DISABLED old aged pensioner has told of her anxiety after vandals smashed her car windows twice in three weeks.
Hillary Smith, of Heol Hendre, Rhuddlan, first had a rear window of her blue Kia car smashed on January 15.
She called the police and had the window repaired only for the passenger door window to be smashed on Friday.
Mrs Smith said she has no idea why her car, which on both occasions had been parked on her drive, would be targeted.
“It seems too coincidental that it was my car twice and my husband’s car was fine on both occasions,” she said.
“It could just be coincidence but it makes your nervous.
“I have lived in Rhuddlan for over 20 years and never had any problems until this happened.
“There seems to be a lot of petty crime around here lately though.”
Mrs Smith condemned those responsible and said she had been forced to pay for the repairs on both occasions.
“They have no feeling, these people,” she said.
“I am an OAP and disabled and my car is essential to me as it enables me to be independent.
“It just seems to be vandalism for the sheer sake of it.
“Surely someone must have seen it happen or know who is responsible.”
A North Wales Police spokesman confirmed that the incidents had been reported as criminal damage and that investigations are ongoing.
