NESTON SOUTH WIRRAL 1
DENBIGH 1
TITLE favourites Denbigh have dropped their first North West Hockey League Division Eight (South) points of the season.
They edged in front of league leaders Timperley 4ths by a solitary point following their 1-1 result at fourth-placed Neston South Wirral.
Ian Goldston grabbed the Denbigh goal on Saturday.
Seven days earlier and Denbigh stretched their winning run to a lucky 13 matches after they secured a magnificent 7-1 home win versus Bowdon 6ths.
Rhys Hughes, Ed Moore, Oliver Morrell and Rob Richards were among the Denbigh scorers.
With six games remaining, the race for the championship looks like it will go down to the wire.
The title decider will be Denbigh’s visit to Timperley, which will be played on March 10.
