LLANSANNAN 1
RHOS UNITED 1
JAMES Tomlinson’s late leveller means that Llansannan still have a fighting chance of finishing outside the bottom two in the Premier Division of the Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League.
Tomlinson struck after 72 minutes to secure a point for Llan at home to Rhos United and with four games left to play, the villagers are just a couple of points behind Mochdre Sports.
Y GLANNAU 1
RHYL ATHLETIC 4
TIME is running out for Y Glannau’s aims of retaining their Premier status.
The St Asaph-based side have just five matches left to pull themselves clear of the basement and they could have done with a positive outcome from the meeting with Rhyl Athletic.
They were always playing catch-up after two goals in the space of four minutes inside the opening half-an-hour put Athletic in the box seat.
Craig Richardson grabbed the opener on 23 minutes, before Ray Thomas doubled Rhyl’s money soon after.
There was no way back for Y Glannau when Jamie Foxbyrne made it 3-0. Dominic Donnelly pulled one back with 10 minutes remaining, but the final word went to Rhyl Athletic courtesy of Lewis Worthing’s 88th minute effort.
