Ruthin pupil wins placs in national choir

A RUTHIN pupil has been awarded a place in the National Youth Choir of Great Britain.

Hamish Sennett, 13, who joined Christ College Brecon as a music scolar last September, was selected for Cambiata Voices, the choir specifically for changing voices.

He was awarded the place along with two other Christ College Brecon students Sophie Rudge and Oliver Price.

At Easter the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain course will culminate in a performance at the Royal Albert Hall of Monteverdi’s Vespers. In the summer, the choir will record a CD of the works of Benjamin Britten.
