Denbigh actor switches on Christmas lights

DENBIGH got into the festive spirit last Friday with their Christmas festival.
Hundreds gathered in the town on November 29 to celebrate the towns traditional Christmas events.

Denbigh actor and Rhyl Pavilion’s Panto star Sean Jones, switched the lights on with the cast of Aladdin.

Mayor Gaynor Morgan Ress and deputy mayor, Gwyneth Kensler met with the Aladdin cast to celebrate the town’s festival.

A Christmas market was held in the market hall with various local produce and artisans, such as Lisa Hodgkiss of recycled craft from Trefnant and Nia Lloyd Jones at the Eco Unique stall.

Santa was in town waiting in his grotto to meet all the children on his nice list.

The much loved children’s character, Peppa Pig was around entertaining the children and circus acts with lessons available all day.

Stilt man James Bazley was a big hit with the crowd, towering over the town.

Live music was being performed throughout the town and there was a traditional fairground for the children.

Parking was free and Denbighshire County Council has agreed that council car parks will be free after 3pm until December 31.
