A GEORGIAN house in Denbigh is open to the public this Saturday.

Mostyn House on Vale Street in Denbigh is open on Saturday, December 14 from 10am until 4pm for residents to view the newly refurbished building.

Mayor Gaynor Morgan Ress and Deputy Gwyneth Kensler will be opening the event..

John Franklin, owner of Mostyn house in Denbigh, received a Georgian Group Award for the restoration of the Grade II listed building.

Mostyn House was restored as part of the Denbigh Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI) with help from Denbighshire County Council and the Welsh Government.

The building received grant assistance from THI, which is conservation funding for heritage led regeneration.

Works included major structural repairs, restoration of the original Georgian façade, and reinstatement of lost internal panelling and cornices.

The property, which cost about £1 million to refurbish, is now let as tourism accommodation
