PEOPLE travelling in the run up to Christmas are being warned to expect delays due to bad weather.

A low pressure front is expected to hit Wales on the afternoon of Decmber 23.

The MET Office has issued weather warnings of severe wind and rain for much of Wales.

Denbighshire has a yellow weather warning for rain.

In a statement on their website the MET Office said: “Very strong south to southwesterly winds will accompany the rain, especially along exposed coasts and hills where gales or severe gales are likely.

“The public should be aware of the risk of localised flooding and possible disruption to transport due to a combination of rain and wind.”

Wind and rain are expected to peak at 2pm today.

High winds are also expected for much of the day on Christmas Eve.
