DENBIGHHSIRE council’s staff held a successful fund raising event.

James Wright from the economic and business development section took part with a sponsored chest wax, carried out by Mel Jones at Pure Hair and Beauty, Vale Street, Denbigh.

Sophie Hannaby cycled 43 miles on an exercise bike, which is the distance to Broad Green Hospital in Liverpool - the nearest British Heart Foundation hospital.

The department also held a bake sale, raffle, wear it red day and much more.

The econmic and business development team is holding the event in memory of a close friend's husband who recently passed away from a heart attack.

The team raised £1,000 with some sponsorship money still to be collected.
