Fire at city residential home

A FIRE at a residential home in St Asaph was afought by North Wales Fire and Rescue over the weekend.

The fire service was called to Bryn Derwen residential home at 4.32 am on Monday morning.

Three appliances attended the scene with two coming from Rhyl and one from St Asaph.

Two sets of breathing apparatus and one hose reel were used to fight the fire.

The cause of the fire is said to have been an electrical fault.

Little damage to the home was reported.
