A FIRE has broken out at a Denbigh taxi firm.

Crews from Ruthin, Rhyl, Denbigh and Abergele as well as the Incident Command Unit from Rhyl are currently damping down a fire at a garage building in Graig Yard, Graig Road, Denbigh, next to Joe's Taxi service.

The initial call was received at 10.57am this morning and the fire is now under control.

The Graig Road has been closed due to asbestos and will remain closed for another two hours as the fire service is waiting for Denbighshire County Council to clear away asbestos from the area.

Firefighters used breathing apparatus, main jets and hose reels to tackle the fire.

One man suffered burns to his arm and self conveyed to hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
