Ruthin business Chelsea Flower Show success

RUTHIN flower specialists have won their 105th RHS Gold Medal at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Dibley’s Nurseries of Ruthin helped bring colour to the Chelsea Flower Show and was awarded their 25th Gold Medal for their Streptocarpus houseplant.

The Chelsea Flower Show started yesterday and will be on every day this week until Saturday, May 24.

Owner Gareth Dibley is a leading growers and breeders of Streptocarpus in the UK and thanks to Dibley’s Nurseries Streptocarpus has became well known following the companies promotions in garden centres, mail order and horticultural shows since the 1980s.

The family business Dibley’s Nurseries have won hundreds of award over the years and take part in more than 30 major flower shows every year.

The Chelsea Flower Show is celebrating it’s 101st anniversary this week after over
a decade of renowned designers and nurseries from around the world exhibiting the lastest trends in horticulture.

Alex Denman, RHS head of shows development, said: “The RHS Chelsea Flower Show stands for the highest levels of horticultural excellence, and the exhibitors this year have demonstrated their incredible level of knowledge and ability with their fantastic exhibits.”
