Man airlifted from Llangollen quarry after fall

A man has been airlifted to hospital with severe trauma after its believed he fell a disused Llangollen quarry.

The man was rescued by a helicopter from RAF Valley, Anglesey, which scrambled to the Blue Lagoon on the Horseshoe Pass, Llangollen, at 8pm last night.

The man had severe trauma and was flown to North Staffordshire Hospital in Stoke-on-Trent.

The helicopter wsa airborn for nearly four hours.
