CORWEN Carnival is back.

After many years absence towns people have decided to revive the once popular event.

The revival will include the traditional king and queen with their court.

Readers can have their say on who should get what role by voting for their favourites.

Otherwise people can vote via the coupon included in this week's Free Press.

Paul Anyon who has helped to organise the event said: “Many people had said to me that they missed not having a carnival anymore.

“One day in April, I was speaking to a friend, who had expressed an interest in re starting the carnival and we decided there and then that we would do it.

“So along with the help of my wife Sian, Gemma and I have done just that! We have plenty of attractions for all the family and look forward to providing the people of Corwen with a great day.”
