Corwen Carnival royalty are voted in

THE king and queen of the Corwen carnival have been announced along with their royal court.
Following a huge online and postal vote the Free Press can reveal the successful applicants for the prestigious roles.

Frankie Pierce, nine, from Maes Afallen, will be the king. 

He will be joined by Jessica Williams, nine, from Clawdd Poncen as queen of the carnival. 

Their attendants will be Iwan Davies, 10, and Katy Owen, eight, both from Uwch y Dre.

The flower girl will be Chloe Williams, five, from Clawdd Poncen and the page boy will be Curtis Marshall, four, from Pen y Bryn.

The carnival will take place on Saturday, August 23 at the Memorial Playing Fields from 2pm.
