A FIRE was deliberately started in the former home of the North Wales Hospital in Denbigh yesterday morning.

This is the second such incident in recent months

In July, the Free Press reported on a fire that was set deliberately at the fromer hospital.

Fire crews were called to the site at 7.51am yesterday morning to Prion Road in Denbigh.

The fire took place in a derelict workshop.

One hose reel and one ceiling hook were used during the incident.

One crew each from Ruthin and Rhyl attended.

The fire was set to a hay bale.

The only damage caused was believed to have been to the hay bale.
