DESTRUCTIVE Denbigh are within sight of a return to the top table of North Wales cricket.
Relegated from the Premier Division of the North Wales Cricket League in 2013, Ben Wilcox-Jones' side are not too far away from securing their participation in the 2015 Premier Division campaign. Denbigh lead the way in Division One and the bowlers took centre stage as they comfortably saw off the challenge of Bersham over the weekend. That made it 11 wins this season for the frontrunners and they're an impressive 36 points clear of third-placed Dolgellau with a game in hand. What a few weeks it has been for Gerallt Lyall and he followed up his unbeaten century of seven days earlier with a half-century last weekend. Full report in Wednesday's Free Press
