THOUSANDS of revellers enjoyed an annual fireworks extravaganza at a world-famous beauty spot.
Music, lights and fireworks once again sent the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct rocking at the annual Underneath the Arches festival.
Performers this year included Rhythm Train, who have performed alongside musical greats such as Eric Clapton, Jools Holland and Echo and the Bunnymen.
The Maydays and Luke Gallagher also kept the crowd entertained.
Part of the event was dedicated as a final farewell to a fireworks company owner. Val Davies, of Cherry Tree House, Cefn Mawr-based fireworks company Festival Fireworks, died of cancer on May 7.
In honour of Mrs Davies, part of the event, which lights up the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct with fireworks and lighting every summer, was a tribute to her and her work.
