THE clock is ticking for Bala Town and their efforts to complete their Welsh Premier League programme.
The Lakesiders are playing catch-up in the top flight as they aim to play seven matches before the January 16 cut-off point.
Bala were scheduled to tackle Gwynedd rivals Bangor City last night (Tuesday), while this Friday sees them travelling to league leaders The New Saints.
“We need a game because the fixture backlog is going to catch up with us,” said team boss Colin Caton.
While Bala have a more than decent squad, it has been pared back somewhat with the news that three key players are out through injury.
