BANGOR CITY 1, BALA TOWN 1
A LATE blow meant there was to be no Gwynedd glory for Bala Town.
Bangor City started well and they edged the opening minutes of both halves.
However, with 10 minutes of the first half remaining, Bala opened the scoring through Ian Sheridan.
After weathering Bangor’s early second half pressure, it was then more of the same by Bala.
A powerful effort from Hayes from an acute angle was saved by Roberts, prior to Hunt testing the number one from range, but again the goalkeeper smothered the opportunity.
Wasted chances meant the inevitable happened on 81 minutes as Bangor drew level.
Shaun Cavanagh slotted home from a corner when Bala failed to clear.
