FROM joy to despair in a little over an hour.
That was the experience of Wales fans as yesterday's Euro 2016 Battle of Britain went the way of England.
Pubs across the region were packed to the rafters with nail-biting viewers clinging on to the hope that Chris Coleman's heroes could hold on for a vital point.
It was all going to plan when superstar Gareth Bales scored a free kick in the first half and Wales' defence stood strong against the England attack.
But when England brought on strikers Jamie Vardy and Daniel Sturridge at half-time, Wales' brave defenders faced attack after attack.
And there were groans when Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge popped up with a 91st minute winner to seal a comeback 2-1 win for Roy Hodgson's men in white.
