Llangollen pupils have been celebrated for more than 3,350 combined hours of voluntary work
Gerry Frobisher, the Youth Lead Volunteering and Wellbeing Development Officer at Denbighshire Voluntary Services Council met with 40 year 13 students of Ysgol Dinas Bran to for a special certificate presentation.
Twenty of the students were awarded Millennium Volunteering Awards of Excellence certificates, signed by the First Minister of the Welsh Assembly Government Carwyn Jones AM, issued when the young volunteer has put in 50, 100 and 200 hours of volunteering.
Mr Frobisher, said: “The certificates make a big impact in any young person’s CV and can help towards future employment.”
Millennium Volunteering is a national program sponsored by the Welsh Government to encourage young people aged 14 and 25 to volunteer.
