Walkers are being challenged to a night-time walk up Snowdon to support St Kentigern Hospice.

Setting off as the clock ticks from midnight into Sunday, June 10, walkers will be professionally guided by the team at Raw Adventure up the mountain with the aim (weather permitting) of reaching the summit by sunrise and also helping support the St Asaph-based hospice.

"What a spectacular way to start a Sunday, get the blood pumping, and with a fabulous view," said Peter Alexander, community fundraiser at St Kentigern Hospice.

"We are very excited to be able to offer this opportunity to our supporters. Snowdon is iconic and many people may have already scaled to her summit. However the adventure of walking through the night, the potential greeting of a summit sunrise and supporting a great cause will make this a walk to remember.

"If you have never had the opportunity to climb Snowdon, or even if you have and fancy adding a twist to your next walk, why not join the hospice and fellow supporters for this unique experience, it will be well worth it."

Places on this trek are limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis.

Deposit £35 – to be paid to Raw adventure through the online registration link on the hospice website.

A minimum sponsorship of £125 is required to be fund raised, as the deposit covers just some of the costs of this event and sponsorship will mean that you are really helping to make different to local people when they need palliative care.
