THE delivery of the first blades to a new windfarm in the Brenig may cause drivers some distress today – but do them better in the long run.
The wind turbine blades will be delivered by a slow-moving heavy good vehicle via the A5 today, passing through Llangollen and Corwen on its way to Brenig, near Denbigh.
The new windfarm is planned to have a total of 16 turbines, with blades that can span 116ft.
North Wales Police Roads Police Unit posted a photo of the blades being transported and tweeted: “These are the first of the blades being escorted to the windfarm in Brenig.
“Due to their size slow moving traffic will be inevitable along the A5 through Llangollen and Corwen up to the site.”
