A man has appeared in court accused of causing a farm fire in which 17 calves died.
Gary Dickson, aged 48, is alleged to have started the blaze at Coed Coch Ucha, Llanfair Talhaiarn, near Abergele, on December 10, 2017.
Total cost of the damage to the barn which also contained a tractor and straw bales, was put at £217,000.
Magistrates in Llandudno declined jurisdiction in the case because of the value of the property, and Dickson, of Westmorland Court, Darlington, who said he would be pleading not guilty, was bailed to appear at Caernarfon Crown Court on July 16.
The bail conditions imposed were that he must not enter the village of Llanfair TH or contact farmer Glyn Foulkes.
