A factory supervisor who had a small number of child porn images of the worst type, featuring youngsters aged between six and twelve and bondage, received an 18 months community order on Friday.
Martin Casoria, aged 59, of Haulfryn, Ruthin, admitted possessing indecent images and must do 150 hours unpaid work and a rehabilitation activity.
Judge Huw Rees at Caernarfon crown court made a sexual harm prevention order for five years and the defendant must register as a sex offender for the same period and pay £340 costs.
Prosecuting counsel Matthew Curtis said Casoria told police he had pretended to be a girl of 15 and used KIK Messenger.
Judge Rees said those interested in child porn created a demand for further abuse of children.
“You should be thoroughly ashamed,” he told Casoria.
