A man from Rhyl has been arrested on suspicion of stealing a car.
A manhunt took place between Rhuddlan and St Asaph for the occupants of a stolen vehicle, following the arrest of the 25 year old man on the A525 between Rhuddlan and St Asaph.
North Wales Police closed a stretch of the road heading north, and deployed a helicopter and search dogs in the hunt for the outstanding occupants of the car. It is not yet known how many escaped the scene.
A spokesperson for police said: "We stopped a vehicle at about 2pm on Friday, July 20 on the A525 near Rhuddlan.
"The vehicle has been seized and we have made one arrest of a 25 year old man from Rhyl on suspicion of stealing the car.
"He has been released under investigation.
"The other occupants fled, and we used a helicopter and search dogs in the search."
