A BLAZE which engulfed two barns and agricultural machinery was accidental, fire chiefs have concluded.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service launched an investigation following a barn fire at a property in Forestry Road, Llanferres, last week.
The blaze was reported just before 6.30pm on Tuesday and took six fire crews to bring under control.
A spokesman for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service has now confirmed the incident was accidental and the cause was sparks from cutting and grinding equipment.
100 per cent fire damage was caused to two barns while heat and smoulder damage was caused to three adjacent barns.
A nearby vehicle and agricultural machinery contained in the barns also received 100 per cent fire damage.
Paul Scott, North Wales Fire and Rescue Service incident commander, said the blaze was 'well developed' when firefighters arrived.
He said: "The crews worked extremely hard and I am very proud of the way they worked on a warm night to get a water supply to this to prevent any further spread of fire."
He explained the crews had to 'shuttle' water from a nearby village in order to battle the blaze.
