FIREFIGHTERS are continuing to tackle a five-day-old mountain fire near Llangollen.
North Wales Fire and Rescue confirmed that firefighters are still attending to the blaze in Llantysilio, near Llangollen, which was first reported on Thursday, July 19.
A fire crew is currently attending to several hot spots on the mountainside.
The fire began around 2.20pm on the Thursday and had been taken under control by five fire crews that evening, but reignited by the following morning.
Over 6,000 square metres of gorse has been damaged.
The cause of the blaze is still unknown.
