A TALENTED singer and guitarist will be providing the entertainment at a Denbighshire venue next month.

Ruthin AllStyles Music's next showcase evening will take place on Thursday, August 23, when Fuchsia Jones will be in attendance.

This talented singer and guitarist will be performing an extended mid-evening spot, showcasing half-a-dozen or so of the songs that have defined her musical journey.

In years to come, people will undoubtedly realise that they were privileged to witness her journey’s beginnings and there is little doubt that Fuchsia will take that beautiful voice of hers onward and upwards to whatever heights her music will take her.

As always on the night, there will be ample opportunity for the regular performers to take to the stage as well.

Those interested in performing need to register for a floor spot before 8.20pm.

With dozens of musicians, some visiting occasionally and some fairly regularly, every week is different at Ruthin AllStyles Music, providing a broad mix from folk to blues and R&B, from country to Celtic and charts.

The event runs at the Feathers Inn, Ruthin, from 8pm.

Doors open at 7.30pm and entry is priced at £1.50, including a raffle ticket.

On October 4, Ruthin AllStyles Music will host an intimate concert with Jon Coley, plus support.

Music has been in Jon Coley’s life for as long as he can remember.

Drawing inspiration from the greats of the folk and blues scene, he has crafted a playing technique that compliments his rich melodies and provocative lyrics perfectly.

Jon has carved out a unique style all of his own, encompassing the romance of folk and the heartbreak of blues.

The evening will begin with a round of floor spots by a variety of local singers, followed by two 45-minute sets from Jon Coley.

Tickets will cost £6 and doors will open at 7.15pm.
