IT turned out to be a busy weekend for members of Denbigh Harriers.

Snowdon looked a bit foreboding with very low cloud and little wind for the Snowdon International Race.

It covered 9.6 miles, with over 3,000 foot of ascent, but actually the race welcomed good running conditions for the Baugh Family.

Katy finished in 411th, sneaking in under the two-hour mark in 1-59.19 and Elen was 444th in 2-02.45.

They managed to improve their 2016 times, despite Elen taking a big tumble that resulted in a visit to the first aid tent.

Menai Baugh continued with her cracking form, taking the third VF60 accolade and finishing 499th in 2-09.55, enjoying the run immensely.

David Baugh had a steady run and he gained positions during the whole race to finish 237th overall in 1-42.09.

Elsewhere, at Caernarfon’s Race the Train event, Fred Jones was the only Harrier on the course.

He took the third VM60 in 20.39 in this fast and furious race.

Phil Hayes completed the RunWales North Wales half-marathon in 1-42.03, which was just under two minutes faster than last year.

Over the border, Duncan Jones completed the Shrewsbury 10k, one of the more attractive and hilly of the 'town centre' races.

In warm, but easier racing conditions, Duncan competed in his first race for a few weeks and he was pleased to finish in 46.03, securing eighth out of 71 in VM55s.

Abigail Corfe completed her second half marathon since coming back from injury – this one a hot challenging trail run - at the Race for Life half marathon at Cheshire’s Cholmondeley Castle.

The parkrun action saw Harriers competing both locally and over the border.

Jeff Jones improved on his time from the previous week at Conwy to cross the line in 27.51.

Sarah Bayliss had a steady run at Wepre in 28.32 and she was the eighth lady.

Rob Gotts and Rob Taylor ran in Canterbury and they finished in 29.12 and 29.13 respectively.
