FIREFIGHTERS continue to battle a huge mountainside blaze.
The incident in Llantysilio, Llangollen, was first reported at about 2.20pm on Thursday, July 19.
A spokesman for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said this morning that four crews and four off road vehicles remain at the scene.
The area affected has now stretched to 250 hectares and firefighters will continue to tackle the flames today.
Denbighshire County Council announced yesterday that the Horseshoe Pass had been closed until further notice.
A council spokesman said: "The request has been made by the North Wales Fire and Rescue to allow them to continue to deal with the grass/gorse fire.
"We will let you know as soon as the situation changes. Thank you for your patience during this time."
No announcement about the reopening of the road has yet been made by the authority.
