NORTH WALES Fire and Rescue have had to call in reinforcements to deal with the ongoing blaze near the Horseshoe Pass.
The fire - which looked to be dying down - once again flared up on Thursday evening with six fire engines now tackling the blaze.
The Horseshoe Pass itself was reopened during most of Thursday, but has again been closed for safety reasons.
The fire service tweeted on tonight: "Update #Llantysilio #Llangollen fire. Six crews dealing with hotspots & fire around the #Ponderosa area. #Horseshoepass road closed. Keep away from mountain #StaySafe. Crews working in difficult circumstances."
