BALA Town boss Colin Caton has joined the multitude of voices to hail Henry Jones' amazing piece of weekend skill.

Seemingly being hustled away from danger in the 34th minute of last Friday's home JD Welsh Premier League tussle with Carmarthen Town, Jones pulled out a rabona with his right foot to supply an exquisite cross.

This unbelievable delivery picked out Steven Tames, who powered in a close range header to put the Lakesiders on their way to a 2-1 triumph.

"I haven't seen anything like it in a Bala game - and I don't think it's been done in the Welsh Premier," admitted Caton.

"He has done a few things in training, but I didn't think he would do anything like that in a game.

"But he is predominantly right footed and he was off balance.

"He has got his head up as well.

"The assist is unbelievable, but it's taken a bit of the shine of Steven Tames' two goals.

"I'm really happy with both of them."

Caton has nothing but praise for the display of Tames and he has described his work rate as "phenomenal".

"If he keeps putting a shift in, the goals will come," added Caton.

"It's a great group of lads and I said around the time of the Europa League how good the personalities and players are."

Next up for the Lakesiders is a Sunday trip south to take on Barry Town United.

"A lot of the lads wait over the weekend for the Sunday game," said Caton.

"It will be a really tough test.

"They gave us two tough games last year."

With the return of Evan Horwood and Rob Pearson, Bala will be at full strength for this weekend's trip.
