Tractors rolled in for a special event at the Denbigh and Flint Show as a number of top manufactures are celebrating milestone anniversaries.
More than 50 tractors lines up on the Main Ring including many a bright red Nuffield and Massey Ferguson, Leyland and BMC.
Massey Ferguson is celebrating its sixty-year anniversary, while Nuffield is into its 70th year of manufacturing, and John Deere a mighty 100 years - having supported British farming through the Second World War and all the twentieth century had to throw at it.
Brothers G & M Williams have owned the farm located between Llansannan and Groes for 60 years, moving there after growing up on a farm in Llanefydd with their father until 1943.
They received two awards at Thursday's tractor exhibition for the Restored Tractor class, first place for their David Brown 990 and second for their David Brown 770.
One of the brothers, aged 78, said: “We have farmed all our lives.
“There used to be three of us but now there’s two. I have suffered a spinal injury recently so it is not easy to work the farm.
“We come to the Denbigh and Flint Show every year. We have shown horses in the past but today is dedicated to tractors.”
The other brother said: “A lot has changed during our sixty years, more than the next generation will see.
“You find you are looking over your shoulder, wondering if you are doing the right thing because of all the regulation there is now.
“But it is still enjoyable, absolutely.”
