COLLEAGUES have raised hundreds of pounds for charity.

Members of staff from HSBC in Denbigh have raised more than £650 for Alzheimer’s Society, a leading care and research charity for people with dementia and their carers.

The group has carried out a series of fundraisers throughout the year, such as sponsored walks and street collections.

In their most recent effort, the group organised a raffle for a ‘relaxation hamper’ that asked for £1 entry from customers - and has raised £136 for the bank’s running total.

Hellen Griffith, manager at HSBC Denbigh, said: “Every month we’re working towards raising more funds for the charity.

“It is close to everyone’s hearts because Alzheimer’s affects most families.”

There are over 1,500 people with dementia in Denbighshire.

Chris Stokes, senior regional corporate partnerships executive for Alzheimer’s Society Cymru said: “Too many are facing dementia alone without adequate support. We urgently need to find a cure, improve care and offer help and understanding for people affected.

"The ongoing support of HSBC who have been our partners since 2016, will help Alzheimer’s Society reach everyone who needs our support, help and advice.

“A big thank you to staff and customers fundraising at local branches such as Denbighshire who have so far raised over £650."
