A SUPPORT group has sounded out to those in need of emotional uplift that there is help.
The Open Doors Club (ODC), a volunteer support programme for people over the age of 50, held a drumming session in collaboration with Vale of Clwyd MIND, the mental health charity, to encourage older people to talk about their problems.
The session, held at the Naylor Leyland Centre, Ruthin on Friday, September 28 saw club members meet up and learn how to play bongo drums.
Emma Gray, volunteer and wellbeing development officer, said: “Drumming is a mindful activity that aids relaxation whilst everyone had fun improving mental health and giving everyone a space to talk about what matters to them.”
The ODC meets every Friday at the Naylor Leyland Centre. For more information call 01824 702441.
