A SAVAGE attack on three sheep left one dead, one mutilated and one injured.
The incident happened near Ruthin.
North Wales Police's Rural Crime Team made the grim discovery last week. One sheep had only its head and spine remaining.
A spokesperson for the team said: "Another multiple livestock attack, this time near Ruthin.
"One dead sheep, one injured and one with only the head and spine remaining."
The area has been hit by a number of livestock attack in recent months; last week, a sheep - with severe injuries to its face - was discovered dead in fields off Dyserth Road, near Meliden.
Earlier this month, a sheep and dog fell to their deaths following a livestock attack on the Great Orme in Llandudno.
