A RHYL landmark has been illuminated in memory of babies have lost their lives.
The Sky Tower on the town's West Parade was lit up pink and blue for National Baby Loss Awareness Week.
Denbighshire County Council’s Leisure Services arranged the colour change in support of the national campaign, which rememebers the lives of babies who died during pregnancy, at or soon after birth, and in infancy, and is being supported by more than 60 charities nationwide and m.
Cllr Bobby Feeley, cabinet lead member for well-being and independence, said: “We agreed to light up the Sky Tower in pink and blue, in memory of the lives of babies who died during pregnancy, at or soon after birth and in infancy.
“It’s an issue that tragically many families in Denbighshire and across the country will have experienced and we feel honoured and privileged to play a part through lending support to the campaign and raising awareness around baby loss.
“Lighting the Sky Tower has proved a successful way of reminding residents and visitors about significant events or initiatives and we hope the lighting efforts will help those behind the campaign to raise the profile of this national issue.
Rhyl Sky Tower was be lit up for three consecutive days from Friday, October 12.
